The fight continues! LadyDarke is all-in against her opponent, utilizing her size and speed to gain the higher ground. Her thoughts here show that she’s realizing Shadow Shot isn’t just another dude with a gun, he’s a near-superhuman mercenary who will provide many challenges for her in the years to come.
I love all the techy stuff in the background that Samir has layered into this issue. It gives it that Jack Kirby ’70s Captain America vibe, raiding AIM sites and facing off against weird hidden complexity in benign settings.
I also love the black and white artwork in this issue. It really fits the story and somehow keeps things even more focused on the action and the stakes at hand. Kickstarter didn’t love this approach, but I stand by it!
